With its futuristic rhomboid design, this is a world-class concert hall. It was designed by the internationally renowned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and built by the Boavista roundabout, where many of the city’s main roads converge.
It is a building whose profound intellectual qualities are blended with a certain sensory appeal and has earned the architect international acclaim. It has two main auditoriums and a rich and widely varying programme, ranging from classical to jazz, pop and world music.
