VISIT THE NATURE RESERVE PAUL DO BOQUILOBO
About 6km from Golegã, this is a humid, sweet water area known for its dense forest consisting mainly of willow and European ash trees, which provide the habitat for numerous species, such as the white heron, amongst other birds, mammals and amphibians. This is a conservation area, which means that access is restricted. Nonetheless, the Reserve’s Information Centre provides walkers with a map of routes they are encouraged to use. These routes are not the most appealing zones of the Reserve, but these are understandably out of reach to the general public. (249 820 550. Quinta do Paúl, Brogueira. 9 am – 12.30 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm. Closed at weekends and on public holidays).
