Built in the 13th. century, the castle contains a church, the Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Mártires, and a few ruins, including the ancient Magistrate’s Palace. Provides fine views of the town and the River Guadiana.
This late 18th century church has a late Baroque façade. Most interesting is its imposing dome. Worth a visit!
