DISCOVER CACELA VELHA
Within the Ria Formosa Nature Park, Cacela Velha is a beautiful, little village on top of a hill. One of the last unspoiled fishing villages still around in the Algarve, Cacela Velha is a tiny place but lovely to look upon, and well worth a visit if you’re staying in eastern Algarve, or even just visiting.
Here you can find a well-preserved Fortress, a 16th century church and the former Islamic walls, from which you have fantastic views  of Ria Formosa.
Its cafés and restaurants offer a good choice of refreshments. Above all, it is the quietness and gracefulness of this village which makes you linger.
