VISIT ÉVORA MUSEUM
Collections of prehistoric and Roman archaeological finds, 15th. and 16th. century sculpture, 15th. – 18th. century paintings, and other interesting items.  (266 702 604. Largo Conde de vila Flor. Tuesdays: 2 pm – 6 pm; Wednesday to Sunday: 10 am – 6 pm. Closed on Mondays, 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May and 25 December. Free admission on Sundays and public holidays up to 2 pm)
VISIT THE CROMELEQUE DOS ALMENDRES
There are many passage graves and menhirs dotted here and there in the landscape surrounding Évora.
Just a few kilometres outside Évora (in Herdade dos Almendres, Guadalupe) the most important and best preserved cromlech in the Iberian Peninsula can be seen. If you walk along the narrow path you will soon come face to face with a phallic-shaped menhir and, a little further ahead, a mass of almost one hundred standing stones, all one to two metres high, in an oval-shaped arrangement that measures 60 metres at its widest point and 30 metres at its narrowest. The cromlech dates from the Chalcolithic era (2500-1800 BC).
VISIT THE FORUM EUGÉNIO DE ALMEIDA
A multipurpose complex that includes an exhibition area, auditorium, cafeteria and shop. The latter (open 9.30 am – 6.30 pm) sells exclusive items with contemporary designs and also contains a specialist bookshop and a wine shop selling Adega da Cartuxa wines. ( 266 737 144. WALK/ CYCLE ALONG RAMAL DE MORA ECOTRACK
Constructed from the former Évora-Mora branch line, 20 kms of track is now available for walkers or cyclists. Various information panels are displayed along the route to guide visitors. Stop off at the Graça do Divor village to rest and have lunch in the Restaurante Divor. Starts at Chafariz d’El Rei in Évora.
